The Illumacam features a combination Illuma-Light and Canon PowerShot G12 camera system, with a narrow band pass filter. The Illuma-Light has a series of bright white and 470nm blue LED lights that provide 360 degree shadow-free lighting. The Canon Power- Shot camera is a simple, easy-to-use digital camera, that shoots in both RAW and JPEG formats. No need for a mounting or holding another blue ALS - this all in one light is designed to free hands while for the photographer while still providing the bright, 470nm light that is desired for proper fluorescence.
