After Ms. Doty pulls and photographs fingerprints using a laser and fluorescent dye, she gives the information to detectives, who process the fingerprints. Since Ms. Doty was hired, the volume of latent prints found and used has doubled. Using the Coherent TraceER she is better able to analyze prints for comparison with suspects.
