Development Chemicals

Ardrox is a fluorescent liquid which is commonly used as a cyanoacrylate dye which can be used with an ultraviolet light or other alternate light sources. Each vial contains a pre-measured amount of ardrox which will give a working solution when added to one liter of solvent.

Basic Red 28 is a red colored dye used with a forensic light source or uv lamp after cyanoacrylate development of latent prints. Available as a premix liquid or a pre-measured concentrate to be mixed with one liter of petroleum ether or methanol.

Basic Yellow 40 is a yellow colored dye used with a forensic light source or UV lamp after cyanoacrylate development of latent prints. Basic Yellow fluoresces well between 365 and 485 nanometers.

This chemical is ideal for developing latent prints on the sticky side of tape. Each vial contains a pre-measured amount of crystal violet concentrate which will give you a working solution when added to one liter of water. Also available as a ready-to-use pre-mixed liquid.

Cyanoacrylate is used in the fuming process to develop latent prints. This technique is particularly useful with textured or other diffi cult surfaces and is helpful in processing large areas such as the interior of vehicles or rooms of a house. Dansyl Chloride is a ninhydrin substitute that reacts with the amino acids in fingerprint residues and produces a fluorescent product that renders the latent print pattern visible.
